The Gathering values its many dedicated volunteers and could not deliver the festival without them.  Each volunteer plays an integral role in the delivery of the event.

 

This year we have a number of volunteer roles on offer including the following:

 

• General Event Assistant

• Information and Merchandise Tent Attendants

• Parking Attendant

• Performer Arrivals and Check In Attendant

• Ticketing Team – Main Gate

• Ticketing Team – South Gate

• VIP and Accessible Parking Attendant

• Event Set Up Crew

• Event Dismantle Crew

 

Each volunteer that delivers one or more 3-4hour shifts will receive the following:

 

• Free entry to The Gathering festival across the weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

• Invitation to our volunteer thank you event on Saturday night, including dinner at the Barnyard Restaurant at Ipswich Turf Club

• Letter of participation for your resume (if requested)

• Merchandise pack including free event t-shirt

 

This year The Gathering will move to the Better Impact on-line system to manage volunteer applications, shift allocation and general communications.  If you volunteer at other events you may already be familiar with the Better Impact system and will already have a Better Impact profile.  If not, you will simply need to create a profile when you complete the initial application form.

 

There are 5 easy steps to becoming a volunteer as follows:

 

1. Complete a volunteer application form by clicking here. If you are new to Better Impact, you can create your profile and username at the same time.

2. We will then review your application form and confirm if you have been accepted by email.

3. Once you are accepted, you will then be able to view available shifts in Better Impact.  You can log back into the system via www.myimpactpage.com using your username and password.

4. Select the roles and shifts you would prefer and then we will confirm them based on availability.

5. Your confirmed shifts will then appear in Better Impact.
